Our History
The beginning of the Huellas Association was a spark of inspiration, a shared dream among a group of young friends who, on March 29, 2022, decided to transform their concern into action. On that memorable day, we gathered and felt deep within ourselves the need to do something meaningful. We were aware of the difficulties faced by young people in our communities, where vulnerability and a lack of opportunities were the norm. But we also knew that, with passion and commitment, we could change that reality.
The idea was simple yet powerful: to develop youth-led actions to empower other young people. We began with modest projects, focused on improving the skills and capabilities of our peers. Our first workshops and activities not only provided useful tools but also sowed hope and awakened a sense of belonging and purpose.
With every step we took, our vision became clearer and our determination firmer. We faced challenges and obstacles, but each one of them strengthened our commitment. We learned that teamwork and collaboration were keys to success. We saw how our initiatives began to have a tangible impact, and how the young people participating in our programs became agents of change in their own communities.
Our growth was a journey of learning and professionalism. Over time, we trained and qualified ourselves, acquiring the necessary skills to carry out more ambitious projects. Each achievement pushed us to dream bigger, to imagine new ways of reaching those who needed it most.
Today, the Huellas Association is a testament to what can be achieved when passion and dedication are combined with a noble cause. We have grown not only in numbers but in impact and in our capacity to transform lives. Our journey so far has been emotional and rewarding, filled with moments that have left indelible marks on us and on those we have touched with our work.
And this is only the beginning. We are ready to develop more projects, to expand our reach, and to reach more communities at social risk. We know the path ahead will be challenging, but we also know that together, as an association, we have the strength and determination to keep moving forward.
